Dinner For Two || Scott & Wallace
“I forbid you from texting my sister,” he said. “Now Julie too!”
‘Too late,’ Wallace replied, snapping his cell phone shut under the table. ‘Sorry guy, but this was just too good to keep to myself.’ He felt a little bad about teasing Scott all the time, but then he remembered that it was his job to do so as his roommate and close friend. Leaning over, he had a sip of the other man’s Coke Zero, just because he could.

Text @Julie from under a table
- Wallace: Heads up, Scott's stalking a Chinese school girl and she's seventeen. He told me not to tell you but whatever.

Dinner for Two || Scott & Wallace
He looked away from Wallace and mumbled, she’sseventeen.
“What was that, guy?”
“She’s…” he lowered his voice even more so Wallace wouldn’t hear. “…seventeen.”
“Seventeen???” he raised his voice. “Wow, Scott. Really?”
“Hey, don’t judge me!” he looked around and slunk lower into his seat. “And keep your voice down… people are looking. The waitress hates me already, for some reason.”
‘For some reason? She had a very good reason, Scott. It’s because you were acting like an asshole,’ Wallace answered. ‘And seventeen? For christ’s sake, even I wouldn’t do something like that.’
They ate in strained silence for a few minutes before he had to say, ‘You know I have to tell your sister and Julie about this, right?’ He would rather give Scott some warning to the upcoming doom then just leave him there with no clue of the attack.

Dinner for Two || Scott & Wallace
“Listen to me this time,” he choked through the pizza. “And I told you that the stalking thing was a misunderstanding! Okay, she’s this girl I met on the bus. She is the nicest girl I’ve met since…”
Scott washed down the pizza, to clear his throat. Wallace offered his beer. Scott, as he opened his mouth, motioned his hands aggressively as he tends to do when excited about something…
The girl’s name was Knives, the Chinese girl whom had taken a bit of his heart away. Her gentleness was passed through Scott’s hand as she accidentally touched his arm. Knives’ eyes reflected his smile; one he hasn’t had in a while, as most of his smiles felt faked. He let his hand slip to hold her small fingers to his.
Scott stumbled to put this into words, and said:
“She’s called Knives and she’s Chinese.”
Wallace raised his eyebrows. ‘A Chinese girl? You’re stalking a Chinese girl you met on the bus? Oh lord, Scott, you’re just looking to get locked up, aren’t you?’ He took a swig of his beer, trying to figure out a way to text Julie without Scott seeing.
‘Wait, so her name is Knives? Knives? Are you even sure she’s real? I mean, this whole thing sounds like a bad manga so far.’ He wouldn’t admit it, but Wallace felt a little bitter. Sure, he was glad she made Scott happy and he wasn’t obsessing over his big ex at the moment, but at the same time he was dealt yet another harsh blow, one he’s learned to live with. I should’ve just given up on this stupid crush years ago….
‘How old is she anyway? Is she even legal?’

Dinner for Two || Scott & Wallace
“Sorry,” Scott gathered himself, “Sorry… sorry.”
He placed the phone on the table for Wallace to see. Wallace moved only his eyes to see the picture. The waitress laid his pizza right on top of the phone. Scott muttered a thanks, while Wallace slipped the phone off from under the plate. Scott rubbed his hands together, then shot up to Wallace’s face.
“Okay. Remember that girl I asked you about yesterday? At the apartment.”
Wallace raised a brow.
“Yeeees?”
“After I arrived from band practice!”
Chuckling to himself about their waitress’ rage, he took a huge bite of his pizza, savoring the deliciousness of it all. He had only just then realized that he hadn’t eaten all day, and his stomach seemed to be thanking him greatly for the food.
To be completely honest, Wallace tended to think about boys whenever Scott rambled about some girl or another, so he never paid attention to the facts. ‘Who was she again? Like, describe her like you did yesterday.’
He muched happily on his slice, watching Scott look a little frustrated with him, spouting you should’ve remembereds and you need to listen to mes.
